1. common denominator x/Y and 1/3 is 6 y could be 2, 6, so insufficient
2. x=1 tells nothing about Y , also insufficient
1+2 we have 1/Y and 1/3's common denominator is 6, 1/y could 1/2 or 1/6, so still insufficient
