In this question IMO is A but OA says D. Is there something I am missing?
Of the cans of peaches inspected yesterday at a certain plant, 1.5 percent failed to pass inspection. Of the cans that failed inspection, were incorrectly labeled and the rest were dented. If all of the cans that were incorrectly labeled or dented failed inspection, how many of the cans of peaches inspected yesterday at the plant were dented?
(1)450 of the cans of peaches inspected yesterday at the plant failed to pass inspection.
(2)29,550 of the cans of peaches inspected yesterday at the plant passed inspection.

450 failed to pass inspection, were dented.
Sufficient.
Statement (2)
let x = total cans inspected
295500 passed the inspection
98.5%x = 295500
x = 3,00,000
1.5%x = 450
Sufficient.
Thus, D.
Hope this helps.

One question:
I was thinking answer was E. What is the source of this question?
E because of following -
1. 450 are the cans that failed inspection.
failed inspect = dented + incorrectly labeled
Then how can we consider that 450 is dented.

Is there information missing from that question?
Assuming there is a % in this sentence right here
"Of the cans that failed inspection, X% were incorrectly labeled and the rest were dented. "
I would agree with D based on the second posters statement.
