#32. Is the value of n closer to 50 than to 75?

1) 75-n > n-50
2) n >60

I found this very tricky. I got messed up because I considered two cases, when n > 0 and when n <0. I think I'm coming around to the fact that it doesn't matter whether n>0 or n<0 but any additional help you give would be much appreciated.

What do you think? Any shortcuts or tips?

(1) 75 - n > n - 50 or 125 > 2n or n < 62.5
As n keeps on decreasing, it will be farther from 75.
If n = 60, then n is closer to 50
If n = 10, then difference between 50 and 10 is lesser than the difference between 75 and 10. So n is closer to 50.

So, (1) is SUFFICIENT.

(2) n > 60 is again NOT SUFFICIENT as we don't know the exact value of n.

That's helpful. For some reason, I had trouble simplifying the inequality. Once you do that, the question becomes easy. Thanks!
