Hi, can someone please help to explain by step-by-step instructions (in detail) in the most simplest way and clear to understand. Would Greatly appreciate it.

1-

Three machine, K, M, and P, working simultaneously and independently at their respective constant rates, can complete a certain task in 24 minutes. How long does it take Machine K, working alone at its constant rate, to complete the task?

(1) machines M and P, working simultaneously and independently at their respective constant rates, can complete the task in 36 minutes.

(2) Machine K and P, working simultaneously and interdependently at their respective constant rates, can complete the ask in 48 minutes.



2-

If n and t are positive integers, is n a factor of t?

(1) n = 3^n-2

(2) t = 3^n

From stem :

1/k + 1/M +1/P = 1/24 ( eq 1)

Determine 1/k

St 1:

1/M + 1/P = 1/36

Apply this in eq 1:

We will get 1/k ...and so u can get K in minutes.

No idea about "t". so Insufficient

t = 3^n

Plug in few numbers to cross check is n a factor of t??

let n = 2 ; t = 9 *2 = 18

yes n is a factor of t

n= 7; t = 9*7 = 63

yes n is a factor of t
