hi umma..

IS this a GMAT question...?? Or the question is incomplete...???

Anyways...
Q:Drinking bottled water is said to be terrific for the environment.

the argument is about "Drinking bottled water " and its benefit to " environment"..

To weaken..we need to prove "Drinking bottled water " harms environment is some way....

All other options except A are irrelevent...

A says that as "bottled water" that is produced, needs to be transported to far off places..(the pollution caused by the transportation medium) is harmful to the environment...
(I guess that is wat is implied...there can be other reasons also..)

Thus A weakens it...

D:tap water is so much better for the environment //

D is out of scope... we are not talkin about tap water...

thx
PS: please dont paste the OA along with the question.
