(1.) IF two lines p and q have slopes (-3) and (-5) respectively then slope of which line is greater??


(2.) IF two lines a and b have slopes of (6) and (-4) respectively then the slope of which is greater??


Kindly elaborate on the rules regarding this :)

1) It goes with values only since -3 is greater than -5 so line having slope of -3 is having greater slope...u can check it with fig also.

2) Again ssince 6>-4 so slope of line having slope 6 is greater than that of line having slope -4.....

you can go through following link for more clarification
which says slope of line is m where y= mx+c

rephrasing your q which is grter b/n -3 and -5 or 6 an -4

there is only one rule
in a no. line the no. to the right side is always greater than the no. to left side
hence -3>-5
and 6>-4
