Confused between B and D.

searched over the web for this
found that "members of the constituent assembly" is a right usage but "number of members of the constituent assembly" is not right. "the number of members in the constituent assembly" should be the usage.

So B.

Experts please clarify.

(A) which doubles to 250 the junior staff in the claims department - after adopting ... , WI hired new employees... whats the result ? doubling of employees. hence ing form should be followed.

(B) doubling to 250 the number of junior staff members in the claims department - correct usage of preposition. CORRECT

(C) which doubles to 250 the junior staff of the claims department - same as A

(D) doubling to 250 the number of junior staff members of the claims department - staffs in which dept ? claims dept. Of is a wrong preposition used here .ELIMINATE

(E) which doubles to 250 the junior staff in the claims department that - same as A

i hope some one pointed above that "which" cannot be used for persons, we need who so we can eliminate 3 options, between other two, we choose the correct prepositional phrase "in the claims" dept

(A) which doubles to 250 the junior staff in the claims department - 'which' wrongly modifies 'employees'
(B) doubling to 250 the number of junior staff members in the claims department - Correct
(C) which doubles to 250 the junior staff of the claims department - same as A
(D) doubling to 250 the number of junior staff members of the claims department - not idiomatic
(E) which doubles to 250 the junior staff in the claims department that - same as A

Is it safe to say that which cannot modify people so if something had to be used it Gould be THAT?
