(A)Having recently published a series of science fiction books influenced by Sufism , Doris Lessing will likely [ a contrast is needed in the sentence to show that although she published so many books recently, she will be best remembered for her early novels about Africa. eliminated!]

(B)Although she has recently published a series of science fiction books influenced by Sufism , Doris Lessing is likely to[correctly brings the contrast. My answer]

(C)She has recently published a series of science fiction books influenced by Sufism , and Doris Lessing will likely [since both the statements are independent, we do not know whom this 'she' refers to. it could be DL or someone else.eliminated!]

(D)In spite of recently publishing a series of science fiction books influenced by Sufism , Doris Lessing should likely[should means it definitely occurs whereas likely brings probability. both cannot occur together. eliminated]

(E)Recently publishing a series of science fiction books influenced by Sufism , Doris Lessing may likely [contrast indicator necessary. eliminated!]

IMO B

Only B brings out the contrast

IMO it is B.

I eliminated C,D and E because of awkward use of words.
will likely be ...
should likely be ...
may likely be ...

Can some one throw some takeways on above?

Between A and B, B provides the authors intended meaning.

Correct me if I am wrong.

Guys ,

We are talking of the future about Dorris Lessing and how she will be remembered in future . So dont you think future tense WILL is required instead of tese tense IS ?
