Okay i said C because....

IF we know that A is equal to 800 then the other half is equal to 2 hundred as well....

Now on the bottom we can read that 2D = 1C 2C = B 4D = B

Thus, we can conclude B+C+2D = 800
then substitute for B and C we get 4D + 2D + 2D = 800 then we solve for D we get 100....

So why is it E and not C?

If C equals 2D then can't we assume that the blank panel is also D?

Wow, this is a tricky one... but I think they're all right.

Since it's not in scale, here's an example that sheds a bit more light on the problem drawn to as close as scale as I could to prove that both conditions don't imply the blank space is D. I think it's much easier to understand with something visual. It had me thinking for a bit too...
