Does x + y = xy ?

$$Does\ \ x+y=xy?$$

(1) The product of x and a positive integer, z, is not equal to x.

(2) y is neither positive nor negative.

The OA is C.

Please, can any expert assist me with this DS question? I don't have it clear. Thanks.
