Taking the GMAT multiple times shouldn't hurt you unless of course your scores don't improve. If you are showing improvement in your scores, even though a school will generally get all of them, they should only "consider" your top score. Hope this helps.

Taking the GMAT multiple times would not be viewed as a negative, assuming you show at least modest improvement in your scores. It could certainly show perseverance and determination.

I am sitting for it for the 6th time today......

Admissions committees will want to know why you took it so many times... my response is that I always felt my scores were deflated for my ability.

Hopefully today's result will provide evidence that that statement is true.

Good luck with your studying!

Just some quick advice from a person that has been in your spot. Depending on how much you want to improve you might consider getting a tutor. I hired one 2 months ago and wished I would have done it before taking so many exams.
