What is the area of triangular region T?

(1) The base of triangle T is 12.
(2) The ratio of the height of triangle T to the base of triangle T is 3:1.

1) give is only one number
2) gives us the ratio; there are a lot of triangles with this ration, consider a right triangle with height of 2 and base 6 to triangle with the height of 1 and base 3.
therefore answer is C, and the area is 18*12
