According to the San Jose State website, they require at least a 525 on the GMAT and scores in at least the 50th percentiles of both quant and verbal. Based on the GMAT score breakdown, a 50th percentile quant score is 37 and a 50th percentile verbal score is 28.

So, you certainly stand a good shot at making it based on your 540 and 550 GMATPrep scores; however, you need to make sure you hit the 50th percentiles in both quant and verbal.
