OG 5.5 Problem Solving Q207

If n=4p, where p is a prime number greater than 2, how many different positive even divisors does n have, including n?

I have read the explanations but still haven't got it yet. Can anyone explain this to me? Thanks!

Plug in and check....

P is prime> 2 means its an odd number ( we know 2 is the only even prime)

assume p =3

n= 4*3 =12

even factors of 12 are 2,4,6 and 12.

hence the answer is 4.
