I have a 740 GMAT score, and I wanted to apply to US business school. I have around nine months experience in KPO as executive customer care and then 23 months work experience in an NGO in India, which is 18 years old and registered, but I used to get in hand salary not in a bank account, although I have salary slip. After that, I have around five years of work experience as a Freelance Digital Marketing Consultant(SEO, Online Marketing, PPC). Do you feel I can compete for an admission in US business school such as Harvard, Kellogs and Booth, accept those nine months in corporate sector all my work experience is a small NGO or an independent consultant?

Thanks for sharing.

It would be important to credibly share how you have spent your time and how you have grown. Recommendation letters from those you have worked with who could share your leadership potential would greatly help. You must also demonstrate the fit with the target MBA program, and how this will help you achieve a worthwhile post-MBA goal.

Wish you all the best!
