If BD is the height then it means AC = hypotenuse

hence AB and BC are non hypotenuse sides

so B is sufficient.

The tricky part of this Q is to draw the right triangle in such a way that AC is the base and BD is the height. if we draw a right triangle as we draw most of the times, we can't fit in BD. I lost time there debating whether the Q is correct.

B is sufficient for the reason netigen explained.

I don't understand the logic if BD is height then AC is hypotenous.

How did you conclude that?

As I said, you have to draw a normal triangle and B happens to be the top vertex and AC is the base. Then Angle B=90 degree and AC is the side opposite to it and hence AC is hypotenuse.

It's a right angle triangle hence two sides are already heights in themselves. Question says that BD is a height but it is not a side of the triangle hence it should be the height on the hypotenuse.

Thanks for clarifying this guys!

The whole time I kept thinking becaue ABC is right triange so one of the side of the triange ABC should be height, how can BD can be height.

Chiducguy, you rightly said the best way to sort this kind of problems is to draw them.
