Atleast I believe that way and I have my reason for that.
If the school care to give a sensible and personal reply then you do not have any negative feeling about the school. However, when the so called arrogant schools shows their sheer arrogance, it gives a negative feeling.
You never know I may one day decide on a billion dollar grants to some B school or my companies recruitments. Let's part away professionally. It's very simple, schools have many students to choose and I too have too many schools to choose!!
Just talked to a friend who's a first-year at columbia. He told me that an adcom officer told him and a few other students privately that re-applicants are "once and done." He thinks that columbia, along with HBS, are the toughest schools for re-applicants to get into.
