knowledge and come do not agree. should be comes

Case of misplaced modifier.

both the bold face have to be together.

In other options, same problem.

D is perfectly ok

Can some one please explain what WHICH is referring back to in this sentence in choice A.

I read that which should modify the most adjacent noun before comma. By this rule which refers to brain. Am I right ??
