Hi is there a difference between GMATPrep and PowerPrep? Or are these two the same?

Powerprep is the older version from GMAC. GMATprep resembles the actual exam both in nature of questions and in look and feel too.

Thanks for your reply, two quick questions

1) Do the questions repeat more often in these two exams. Are the questions all different in these two exams.?If I take one does the other get rendered useless.

2) In case they are different with respect to question content, then does powerprep(being a old gmat format) help me gauge my performance in the actual GMAT?

1)I have not used Powerprep but what I have heard is that the questions from Powerprep overlaps with the retired print version of the question papers. The questions in Powerprep may not get repeated in GMAT prep I guess. You could take Powerprep for additional practice.


2)The GMAT prep is only exam that can indicate the performance on the actual exam(with its own deviations though). The scoring algorithm varies between the GMAT prep and Powerprep. Hence Powerprep performance will not help you gauge performance.
