Can any one explains when can we use (or) under what circumstances can we use the words TWICE,DOUBLES/DOUBLING, TWO TIMES....I often gets confused among these......Can any one explains clearly with examples.....

My 2 cents

Twice is always preferred over Two times

in the same way, Quadruple is preferred over four times.

Iam looking more of the perspective of when each of (twice,doubled,two times) will be correct as well as in correct to use....

Explanation with an example for each of these will be bonus....

Waiting for an expert to give inputs

TWICE and DOUBLE as adjectives mean the same thing. DOUBLE is also a verb, though, so My income doubled is more concise than My income is twice what it was.

Isnt twice an adverb??
First take: 640 (50M, 27V) - RC needs 300% improvement

Ugh! Yes it is! Careless mistake. You'll have to take my word for it that I know better. The split is still the same -- DOUBLE is a verb and is more concise than a sentence with TWICE.
