Diagramming Conditional stmt

by hariharakarthi » Tue Dec 23, 2008 5:45 pm
Can any one help me to diagram the below condtitional statment,

Unless they find an Eyewitness and put the defendant on the stand, they will lose the case.

Applying, Unless equation, which states whatever the term is modified by "Unless" becomes the necssary condition. The remaining term is negated and become suff condition.

So, the diagram will be as follows,

LC - Lose the case,
FE - find eyewitness
DS - put defendant on stand

LC -> FE and DS

The underlined LC denotes the negation
Whether the above diagram is correct?

Regards.

I feel the diagram is correct as it cleary says that they will not lose the case if they find an Eyewitness and put the defendant on the stand.
