Personal pronouns have both a SUBJECT CASE (I, he, she) and an OBJECT CASE (me, him, her).
One issue being tested by the SC above is the difference between I (subject case) and me (object case).
The GMAT does not test the difference subject cases and object cases.
Ignore this SC.

The explanation in the link is correct.

A personal pronoun serving as a subject must be in the SUBJECTIVE CASE:
HE hit the ball.
SHE hit the ball.
WE hit the ball.
I hit the ball.
HE AND I hit the ball.

A personal pronoun serving as the object of a preposition must be in the OBJECTIVE CASE:
The ball was hit by HIM.
The ball was hit by HER.
The ball was hit by US.
The ball was hit by ME.
The ball was hit by HIM AND ME.

Incorrect: Despite the legal arguments of Robert and I, the zoning board approved the new housing project.
Here, I (subjective pronoun) cannot serves as the object of of.
Correct: Despite the legal arguments of Robert and ME, the zoning board approved the new housing project.
