New "nano-papers" incorporate fibers that give these materials strength

Now, this sentence is said to be right in Manhattan sentence correction Guide...My doubt is the ambiguity that the word these can refer to both nano papers and fibers.

Please clear this doubt

NO! fibers that give these materials <-- fibers can't give themselves ( strength --> they give to "nano-forgot.... :)

If it referred to "fibers", it should have been "themselves."
