does "number" mean positive integer?
in other words, number = positive integer?
im scheduled to take the test next friday! scary...
quick help would be greatly appreciated!

In alsmost all cases ETS will design questions which are clearly stated. The question will clearly tell you or give you indications such that Positive integers, negative integers, even number, odd numbers can be infered unambiguously .

If you're not given a more specific definition, "number" includes anything in the set of real numbers (in other words, all numbers except imaginary numbers, such as the root of negative 1).
