I strongly disagree with Bhoopendra.

The first practice test is meant to provide you with a baseline score (to help gauge your progress in the future) AND give you an idea of what the GMAT is all about.

So, just review pages 269-272 to get a better understanding of what DS questions are all about, and then take the practice test.

This is a question regarding the Day 3 learning activities in the 60-Day Study Guide (posted in the 60-Day Study Guide forum). I believe the student asked the question to clarify the directions, not elicit opinions on whether to deviate from the learning activities in the Guide.

When I created the 60-Day Study Guide, I felt (and still feel) that there are many benefits to taking a practice test early in one's studies. One of the best reasons is that it helps students gauge the amount of work required to reach their target score. I mention other benefits in that article I referenced.

Just out of curiosity, why do you feel that it's necessary to answer all 174 DS questions in OG-13 before taking a practice test?
