IMO also D

A,B,E are ruled out because of the incorrect use of which.

C, the placement of Both makes the sentence look awkward.

D is better and more clear.

You can simply eliminate all the options except A & D by the usage of the idiom.

Idiom : Both by X and by Y or By both X and Y

in A "which" refers to "dollar' instead of "currency's continued slide" correctly pointed by "mals24"
