Volume of Cube = (Side)^3

New Side = 2*side

Increase = (NEw - OLD)/OLD = (8*side^3 - Side^3)/Side^3 = 7 .. So 700%

Hi Aim,

For these types of questions, you might find it useful to TEST VALUES.

If the side length = 2, then the Volume = (2)(2)(2) = 8

Now, increase the length by 100%

New side length = 4, so the new Volume = (4)(4)(4) = 64

% increase = (New - Old)/Old = (64 - 8)/8 = 56/8 = 7 = 700%

Pick the nameless [spoiler]fourth[/spoiler] up. It's a nice but not a properly urbanized GMAT problem.
