Not sure how far you've gone in your CR prep, but here are some tips.
1. Learn all CR question types and be comfortable with identifying them

Powerscore CR Bible seems to be the consensus comprehensive guide out there. Especially if you are just beginning your CR studies. I also like MGMAT CR's coverage of the Assumption question type.
