Every test prep method suggests slightly different strategies, and you have to go with what works for you. I can only really comment on the Veritas strategies, as that is what with I am most familiar. We recommend limiting use of scratch paper on CR questions. They are relatively short, so if you are having trouble remembering most of the points in these, you will most likely run into bigger trouble in RC.

Most of the notes we make on CR questions diagram the logic. This helps test takers isolate the important points in order to be able to spot logic patterns and flaws in logic.
