The duality between how Raccine lived in the theatre and his life of faith and devotion should be seen not only as an internal division but also as a possible reason that Raccine, in an age of optimism, selected tragedy as the preferred form.

for idiom btw X and Y ... X, Y shall be parallel.

X is in indirect form.. Please put down your estimates regarding your efforts for C

In A between X AND Y , X and Y must be parellel which is not the case .
In B not only as X but also is the correct form ,which is not the case
between C and D raccines's life in the theater is better than thetrical life of raccine
in E again not only as x but also y parallelism is distorted

hence D

Option D seems to be correct .

I vote for C.
1) between how Raccine lived in the theatre and his life of faith and devotionshould be seen not only as an internal division ----- between X and Y ---> X and Y are not parallel

2) between Raccine's life of the theatre and his life of faith and devotion should be seen as not only an internal division ----- as not only X but also as Y is not correct

3) between theatrical life of Raccine and his faithful and devotional life should be seen not only as an internal division ---- I think if we factor out the life at the end of the end of both parallel parts then there would be no problem--->between theatrical,faithful and devotional life of Raccine, his is properly referring to Raccine.
4) between Raccine's life in the theatre and his life of faith and devotion should be seen not only as an internal division ---- I think both sides of the parallel structure has no problem because the parallel parts are Raccine's life and his life and the rest are prepositional phrases, however using this kind of 's for possessive forms is a poor use of possessives and also the whole sentence is wordy, so C seems better to me

5) between Raccine's life of the theatre and his faithful and devotional life should be seen as not only an internal division ---- the same problem as 2

What is the OA, I am not sure if I am right with C, at the second look I am not sure if D is wrong because of what I mentioned

C needs to say between THE theatrical life of Raccine. Also, theatrical life could imply that Raccine's life was exaggerated and especially dramatic, one definition of theatrical. The intended meaning of the sentence is that Raccine WORKED in the theatre. Eliminate C.
