in the xy plane, what is the slop of line L?

a) line L does not intersect with the line w/ equation y = 1-x
b) line L intersects the line with equation y=x-1

IMO the answer is A.
If line L doesnt intersect with (y = 1-x), it will be parallel to that line. So the slope of that line will be -1.

Statement 2 doesnt give any relevant information. So INSUFF
