OA given is D. But Wat is the problem with B in the question. I chose B...
Could anyone just explain!

What part of the question is underlined?

If it is till before that the correct option will look something like this..

The immediate international response to the scandal showed that global communication is faster than ever before and that and news of events in one region can have a significant and almost instantaneous political impact on remote governments.
-- which looks odd.
