If motor vehicle accidents often result in damage to vehicles, motorists or both, then the increase in the deer population which has led to more motor vehicle accidents has truly endangered public safety.

In strengthen/weaken questions, we can assume that the answer choices given are true, even if they provide extraneous information. For example, here we have the conclusion that, the hunting ban is unnecessary and the deer have become a menace to public safety.
This conclusion is based on the premise that hunting ban---> overgrowth in deer population ---> causing problems.
If suppose Choice A was true, it would tell us that hunting had kept the population growth under control. By keeping the population under control, we can infer that not much danger was caused to the public.
This in turn would support the author's conclusion that hunting ban was unnecessary and, removing the ban would limit the problems caused by the deer.
Can someone explain why B is wrong.
Is it that B provides some support for the conclusion (strengthens it a little bit) but does not provide the strongest support (Strengthens it the most) or does the information in B not even strenthen the conclusion at all?

B is wrong because question is asking for additional support and injury to motorists is already stated in the argument as a support.
