Combinatronic, Statistic, and Probability

Hi there,

I have 2 questions.

For somebody who wants to score in the 55-60% in quant, do I need to study combinatronic, Statistic, and Probability? I have 6 weeks to study, and I don't want to spend my time studying for something that most likely will not show up.

Is 55% in quant 500 level or 600 level?

Thanks!

As to your desired score, it probably should be closer to 600.

I have a GMATPrep practice exam that got 59 percentile, exactly in your desired range.

The GMATPrep software selected one Data Sufficiency in Statistics with a simple application of sum = N*average and 3 other very simple problems in statistics: one to find median of a list of numbers, one to find the range of a list of numbers, and one to find the mean from two numbers which are given number of standard deviations above and below the mean.

So it looks like you need to know basic statistics, but you may not bother with combinatorics or probability.
