This question needs A LOT of polishing before it could ever be considered GMAT-like. Some answer choices (5 to be exact) would be nice, as would some clarification regarding whether the same-colored balls are identical and whether the order of the selected balls matters.

If same-colored balls are identical and the order of the selected balls does matter, then there's only 1 way to select 1 white and 1 black ball.
