How many ways are there to award a gold, silver and bronze medal to 10 contending teams?

a. 10x9x8

b.10!/3!7!

c. 10!/3!

d. 360

e. 300

however after plugging into the combinations original formual b looks correct and cannot justify qa.
qa ia a

My thought is the order matters here(since gold->silver->bronze in that order)

So its permutations 10P3

= 10 * 9 * 8 * 7! / 7!

= 10*9*8

That is the only way of explaining this. I just wish it would explain that the medals had to be ordered in this manner only and it would have cleared up the ambiguity. thanks

imo questions could have been written better
