Color X ink is created by blending red, blue, green and yellow inks in the ratio 6:5:2:2. What is the number of liters of green ink that was used to create a certain batch of color X ink?

1. The amount of red ink used to create the batch is 2 liters more than the amount of blue ink used to create the batch.
2. The batch consists of 30 liters of color X ink.

R:B:G:Y=6:5:2:2

statement 1:

The amount of red ink used to create the batch is 2 liters more than the amount of blue ink used to create the batch

Let 6x,5x,2x and 2x represent the no of liters of red ink,blue ink,green ink and yellow ink respectively

as per 1st statement we have
6x=5x+2
x=2
No of liters of green ink=2x=4 liters

Sufficient

statement 2:

The batch consists of 30 liters of color X ink.

6x+5x+2x+2x=30
15x=30
x=2
No of liters of green ink=2x=4 liters

Sufficient

Hence the ans is D...Let me know if you have any doubts..
