College rankings.... ?

by k2gopal » Thu May 31, 2007 3:53 am
Hi there ,

Eric GREAT STUFF ! I'm like all pumped up now :) .

Probably if you can put in more stuff about how beating the gmat really helped you out,... your mba decision , worklife plan etc ( yes , people i understand getting a 720 is going to change your life) , but more details would probably give a fairytale ending to the blog :) . Just thought itll really be cool

On a more serious note , ( if this does not already exist, did a quick search but couldnt get anything) , if you could probably put up a seperate category/folder for rankings based on various ("trusted") sources , where each college stands based on criteria etc , it would be of REAL great help..!

Cheers

Hi K2:

Thanks for your kind words. :)

I'd be interested in learning more about your suggestion. What do you mean by trusted sources? Are you saying you want a special thread or folder exclusively devoted to MBA rankings, from sources like USNews, Financial Times, etc?

Yup Eric you got that spot on. There are quite a few dependable sources that provide rankings based on various criterion , Forbes , financial times , Business week etc etc , many of which you have already mentioned.
I think maintaining a seperate thread on this with the updated rankings would really prove useful for everyone.

your thoughts ?

Doesn't hurt--would you be interested in starting this thread in the b-school in general forum area, and I'll make it sticky?

just another suggestion , do you think it makes sense to have this as a seperate category ? with various topics based on the sources ( would be easy to peruse through.) or do you think a single sticky should suffice ?

Let's try a sticky thread first. If we see that there's a sizeable volume of responses or posts, we can then think about scaling to a separate sub-forum.

Thanks again for the great idea!
