Hi all,
I'm planning on taking some math courses this summer. Does it matter if I am take them at a community college or should it be at a regular four year program?

Hi gmatdreamer1,

Are you taking these math courses to fulfill an application requirement? Most Business Schools expect applicants to have taken college-level Calculus and Statistics before they enroll. That having been said, if you haven't taken those classes yet, then you can still apply, but you'll likely still need to take those classes. Community college classes tend to be acceptable, but if you want to know what a specific school requires, then you should contact that school and ask the question directly.

Hi,
I'm taking the courses to bolster my resume a bit. Do you think I need a macroeconomics course, or should I focus on stats and calc?

Hey there,

Focus on stats and calc. Don't worry about econ. Most programs will have you go through that anyway. And you need to understand calc for any meaningful econ course.

Also, bolster your resume? Or transcript? If it's the latter, then a community college can work perfectly fine. It's still proactive and gives you a grade. So that's fine!
