In xy plane, region R consists of all the points (x,y) such that 2x+3y =<6. Is the points (r,s) in region R?

1)3r+2s =6
2)r=<2 and s=<3

pls explain?

2x+3y =<6 tell us maximum x is 3 and maximum y is 2

1)3r+2s =6
(r;s) could be (0;3) which is not in region R
2)r=<2 and s=<3
The problem is the same because if s=3 (r;s) is not in region R

1 and 2 together does not help us, they give us the same information indeed. The point (r;s) is likely to be in region R but it is possible it is not here, so E.
