From a circular sheet of paper with a radius of 20 cm, four circles of radius 5cm each are cut out. What is the ratio of the uncut to the cut portion?

(A)1 : 3
(B)4 : 1
(C)3 : 1
(D)4 : 3
(E)None of these

THe OA is C.
It takes time and effort to explain, so if my comment helped you please press Thanks button :)

Just because something is hard doesn't mean you shouldn't try,it means you should just try harder.

THe OA is C.
area cut = 4xpie 5^2
total area = pie 20^2

area uncut = pie 20^2-4xpie 5^2

ratio = (pie 20^2-4xpie 5^2)/4xpie 5^2 = 400-100/100 =
3:1
Ans C
