Choosing recommendors

by eaakbari » Fri Dec 07, 2012 2:49 am
I am into my Family business and have had negligible Work-ex otherwise.
I am quite confused as to who would be apt for my recommendation letters.

My option's include

1. Client's
2. Renowned businessmen I know (at least renowned in Oman where I reside)
3. Undergrad professor's
4. Client's from a few small-time business activities I run

The problem I see with Option 1 & 2 is they might not be as detailed about ME as they should be.

I look forward to your valuable opinions.
Whether you think you can or can't, you're right.

if you have done any volunteer work (long term) I think your supervisor can also write a letter of recommendation for you. I wouldn't ask a client because IMHO schools want to see a supervisor comment on your skills and not your clients.

One or two are better options. And you can help them out as far as information goes. If you have a manager from the family business who is not your dad or uncle, then that can be a good option as well.
