Thanks for your post. You certainly do seem to be aware that applying to a part time program with the goal of switching industries/careers is indeed challenging. Part time students don't always have the same access to internships and even recruiting that is available to full time MBA candidates. As such, my concern for you isn't so much around gaining admission, but rather being sure that this really is the best choice for you. While I understand that full time isn't an option for you, I worry that part time won't fulfill your needs and thus be a potential waste of your time and money. The sports industry is a shall and challenging industry to enter, and I'm not sure you'll gain access to the recruiting and networking needed to join this industry through a part time program. My suggestion would be to reach out to the career services office at Booth and talk to them about employment opportunities for part time students and in particular see if you can find out placement statistics in the sports industry. This research might save you plenty of time, money and energy down the road.
