Hi all ,

This is my first post in the beatthegmat community. So far I had been a silent member of the community, following discussions and posts quite regularly.

The coming week is going to be crucial for my MBA dream. I will finally face the enemy on the 19th of this month. The war which I declared on 16th December 2010 will be fought on this day. I have been dreaming of glory and success every night since I started chasing my MBA dream. My enemy is strong , fierce and merciless , and it will not leave any opportunity to thrash me on THE JUDGEMENT DAY. Only the brave and prepared can tame this beast........

Ok .... Its enough now .. :) No more war terms .. So the GMAT is the beast I am talking about. And I had been learning to tame this beast for quite a long now.I started studying seriously in April this year along with my job. If I look back at my preparation I realize that I have utilized the time available quite well considering the work pressure and other circumstances. Although I took two or three long breaks (around a week or so) in between from regular study , but overall I am pretty much satisfied with my preparation. Apart from the quantitative and verbal ability , this whole process of preparing for GMAT has taught me a lot. It has made me realize the importance of time management , the thrill in learning from failures and the unrealized limits of my patience. It has taught me the essence of focus required to achieve one's goals . Above all , this span of learning and struggle has made me answer some really tough questions ( What you want to do ...?? Are you sure you want to do that ...??? How will you reach there ..?? and so on ....) which are crucial in anyone's life.

I have given a few mock tests and the results have not been very exciting . So far I have been scoring between 630 - 720 on these mock tests( GMAT PREP and MGMAT ) and I plan to give around 3-4 more mock tests before the exam (19th Oct). I am now focusing on my test strategy and trying to revise concepts.I have also planned to put around at least 8 hours daily for the coming days.

Also I must confess that beatthegmat posts and discussions have been a great help to me throughout my preparation .I hope that I will be able to conquer this beast and move a step ahead in chasing my MBA dream.

Thanks

Dhruv Sabharwal

You will definitely cross 700.

And seeing your writing, AWA is a definite 6.
