Changes to GMATPrep scores

by ellielmy » Fri Jun 18, 2010 11:13 am
I've taken the GMATPrep tests 4 times. The first 2 times I got 48-49 in verbal, and 34, 39 in quant. The last 2 times I took the tests, I got 44 and 49 in quant, but 39 and 37 in verbal. Obviously I'm very happy about the improvement in quant, but why is my verbal score declining? I took all 4 tests within 10 days.

if you are getting same question then you should concentrate more
but whats my observation you get some different qquestion every time
so may be when you are getting common question irrespective of quant or verbal you are doing good and in new question you are getting wrong no need to worry this thing happens just carry on learning whatever new problem you are getting
Ideation without execution is delusion

Whoa- that's a massive drop on the verbal section... Did you take the tests under the same conditions? If you saw some of the same questions on the math section this will obviously inflate your score, but that usually only happens a couple times... As for the verbal section- what are your break downs, that is, how many of each type of question did you miss? Maybe you had some hidden weak areas that the first two tests didn't touch (although I don't think it should make a 10 point difference)
If my post helped you- let me know by pushing the thanks button ;)
