Chances at INSEAD Jan 2011 with GMAT 680 (q50, v33)

I just got done with my GMAT exam today and got a rather disappointing score of 680. I was doing well in most of my mock exams averaging about 740-750.

I wanted to write this exam early enough to apply to Insead for the Jan 2011 intake (Deadline is on 30th March).

I have 3.5 years experience in a wall street based hedge fund, however in front office trading application development - not a trader role.
I am a B.Tech graduate with a decent CGPA of 9.34/10. I have passed the CFA level I exam and intend to attempt Level II this June 2011.

My extracurricular activities include singing, dancing, elocutions and organization of events in undergrad school?

What are my chances at INSEAD with this low GMAT score? Should I consider writing it again? Are there any good schools which do not give a high weightage to the GMAT?

I could possibly retake the GMAT but not too soon considering I need to start studying for the CFA level II exam.

It's really about so much more than the GMAT. Schools have their posted averages, but never disclose the outliers on the low end who matriculate. if they find something in your story which compels them in a visceral way, you can overcome an average or even below average score. Also, what you do professionally sounds challenging and quantitiative in nature, which can help offset GMAT as can superior academics, which you appear to have judging from your GPA or equivalent. The key is standing out, so ask yourself how you do that amongst others applicants with a similar background. If you can wrestle that to the ground, you will be on your way. Don't lose perspective on your score--it's a great score and far better than most who take the GMAT. sure there are those who do better on the test, but what else do you bring to the table that they may not?
