chances at Georgia Tech

by semidevil » Fri Feb 20, 2009 4:09 pm
I have an interest in Georgia Tech Evening MBA program(maybe summer admission)

brief about me:
25 year old.
B.A in mathematics.
3 years of work experience.
currently at 3 year of work experience (1 year supervisory experience).
Undergrad GPA 2.63 combined retention.
GMAT: havent taken, but goal is going to be high.

I went to GT website and they state the following:
average gmat: 624, with a range 550 to 720(80% of the class)
average gpa: 2.6 - 3.8 with a range of 3.2(mid 80%).

Obviously, I am well below the average in terms of GPA. However, I fall in the 'range.'

Based on this, am I competitive in getting in if I at least get the above average gmat?

When I look at the range, I get excited because I feel like I have a chance, but then again, I want to know what my real chances are. Am I fair game? I mean, Georgia Tech is good school, so I think It sounds too good to be true for me.

anyone? Reason I want to know is I'm trying to pick the best school that I can get in to and move there to get instate tuition. So I kind of want to know the chances. willing to take a risk, but dont want to go somewhere with 0 chances.

thanks.
