I was wondering about my chances of getting into Haas EWMBA program for Fall 2009. Here is my Profile.
31 year old male working in the SF Bay Area - Indian but have studied outside of India for Undergrad - in Canada.
GMAT: 680 ( Quant 47 - 79 percentile and Verbal 37- 86 percentile; Overall 86 percentile)
Undergrad: B.S (4 yr) in Computer Science from a Univ in Canada. I do not know my GPA but my grades are pretty low. In addition I had academic problems in 1995-1997 due to personal reasons. After that I did ok and my grades steadily improved (1998-2002). Retook one course (after graduation) from Harvard Extension and got an A-
Work Experience: 7 years: 1 year in India, 1 year in Canada, 5 in the US.
Career Progression: Promoted to team lead within 1 year. Received 2 awards for excellence at work.
Volunteering/Extra-curricular: Math tutor at a city school.
Excellent recommendations
Do you feel I have a shot at this program? I did regive the gmat and did not score > 680. In fact my score fell so I'm slightly concerned. I'll have to take a math course or the Haas Math Waiver exam or the Math course.
