Noting that its revenues had fallen due to a recent prolonged slump in CD sales, the music-store chain announced that it would be forced to raise prices at all of its outlets.

its revenues had fallen due to a recent
its revenues have fallen due to a recently
its revenues are falling due to a recently
their revenues are falling due to a recent
their revenues had fallen due to a recent

IMO: A

IMO: A
1) HAD FALLEN....ANNOUNCED
2) ITS...MUSIC-STORE CHAIN

Only A fits;

The announcement is complete and therefore we cannot say HAVE FALLEN (tht means REVENUE is falling even today, but we do not abt tht).

Note: IMO use of DUE TO not correct here; use of BECAUSE OF will be better
