The leakage has resulted in the pollution, and this is clearly stated only in the option C,
because while signifies simultaneity of the actions, A and D eliminated.
B is redundant and awkward in construction,
E subject verb disagreement and awkward construction.

Please underline the sentences tht requires to be corrected .
The only thing to look out here is the last word in each of the answer options . because of the text mentioned after it .
Only C fits well .
